Aims & Scope

The Journal of Animal Breeding and Genomics (JABG) publishes high-quality original research and review articles that advance our understanding of genetics, breeding, and genomics in domestic animals and related species. The journal aims to disseminate scientific findings that are of immediate relevance to farm animal genetics and practical application in animal production systems.

JABG welcomes contributions across a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Conventional genetic studies
  • Marker-trait association analyses
  • Genome-wide association studies (GWAS)
  • Genomic selection
  • Genome editing technologies
  • Next-generation sequencing (NGS)
  • OMIC-based approaches (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics)

The journal accepts manuscripts written in Korean or English and serves as a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share insights and innovations in the field of animal breeding and genomics.
